2007 Christmas Fundraising Enrollment
Thank you for helping Northwoods celebrate our 25th season in the Christmas fundraising business. We have had a better than average rainfall in the northwoods so we expect another year of fresh quality boughs. This year we are pleased to have the opportunity to be working with you once again and we also welcome our new groups to the program. We have some exciting changes and enhancements to our product line and program for 2007: - The addition of a custom label breakfast blend coffee and custom label gourmet hot cocoa to our Christmas brochures for orders over 500 pieces. - Continuation of our pre-pay option. Groups that pre-pay on their orders by September 15, 2007 will receive a 5% discount off of the amount they pre-pay. For example, if you pre-pay $5000 by 9/15 your group will receive a $250 discount on your final bill.
Mail OrderMail orders will no longer be listed on our brochure. We still offer this product but you must call our office to order and arrange delivery. Since Northwoods introduced our indoor products like the Noble Mixed Wreaths ten years ago, we have the best product line in the industry. This has increased your group's net profits by over 33%. On an average, groups selling both our indoor and outdoor lines earn $800 more than those just selling outdoor balsam items. If your group isn't selling our indoor products today you're missing a great opportunity. We are also continuing to offer the following services to help you increase sales and organize your efforts: www.wreaths.com All of Northwoods marketing material is available on the Internet. This year we have added a password to protect your wholesale pricing from potential customers. Please register your group with us to receive the password. This password is case sensitive so please use lowercase when the website requests a password. Spreadsheet Software This year we are offering an Excel spreadsheet to help you organize your group’s sale. You will be able to track sales by product and salesperson and accurately estimate your group profits. You can download this software via our Internet home page or we can mail/email a copy to you. You will need a current version of Microsoft Excel 7.0 to run the program. Enclosed please find our current price list and helpful hints page. Remember that you must call Northwoods ASAP to let us know your group is participating in this year's sale. Groups are accepted on a first call basis.

RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL WREATH SALE1. Inform Northwoods that your group will be participating in this year’s sale. Our accounts are limited and taken on a first call basis. Also, if you want to use our Excel spreadsheet to track your sales, you can download from our website or we can mail or email the software to you. 2. For your group sales, let Northwoods know how many sales brochures/order forms your group will need. They are free of charge for the first 100 ordered. Please specify if you would like our retail pricing included on the brochures or left blank for you to fill in. 3. Begin your wreath sale in September/October by calling on business, friends, neighbors, and relatives. You may want to bring some brochures to work to help you sell to co-workers. Save the order forms and use for next year’s sale. 4. Orders can be entered on the website, faxed, emailed or phoned in. Our fax number is 847-745-0147 and our email address is sales@wreaths.com or andybarrie@yahoo.com . You must send in your order at least two (2) weeks in advance of your pick-up. This year’s pick-up dates are:

If your order changes after you have phoned it in, call us and we'll do our best to accommodate. If your group is outside of the Chicago area, we can work with a common carrier to ship to your location. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchasing group and average around $1.25 per item shipped.
5. One person from your group should be appointed to oversee the entire wreath sale and should be present at all pick-ups. 6. If you plan on using COD pricing from Northwoods, tell us when you are ordering so we can give you the total amount due. All other groups will be invoiced after their final pick-up. The total balance is due no later than December 31. Please present us with one check from your organization. Northwoods cannot accept checks from your end customers. 7. Groups that implement sales contests sell twice as much as those that do not. Some groups give prizes for sales achievement while others pay a 10% commission on gross sales. This money can help participants buy their Christmas gifts. Encourage parents of group members to get involved in the sale. Don’t underestimate telephone sales to family, neighbors, and fellow workers. Businesses and cemeteries also buy large quantities of wreaths.
