How should I care for my wreaths and garlands?
It is best to decorate with your evergreens after Thanksgiving. Prior to hanging, or if you are saving the product for a special party or event, you should keep it outside in a shaded garden. Make sure the product gets watered and keep all pets and animals away.
If you live in a warmer, southern climate, wait to hang your product until the first or second week in December. In all climates,
never
hang a wreath in between a storm door and another door if it receives any sunlight during the day.
Remember that balsam fir works best as an outdoor decoration. Its needles will drop once it dries up indoors. Noble fir makes a better indoor decoration because it will not drop as many needles once it dries out. All wreaths can be sprayed with water to keep them fresh and green.

Can I cut my garlands?
Yes, it is best to cut garlands with a pair of shears or heavy scissors. Re-fasten the loose ends of the cut garland with florist wire, twist ties, or rubber bands.

Are any trees killed or damaged making the wreaths or garlands?
No, we harvest the end 24” if local balsam and noble fir trees with sharp cutting instruments. Our cutting actually promotes tree grow and density and we can re-harvest on the same tree two years later.

What's the difference between Balsam Fir and Noble Fir?
Noble fir is a premium evergreen grown in the Pacific northwest. Noble fir is considered the top end of wreath decorating because the dense needles stay fresher longer and do not drop as much when they dry. Noble can be used indoors or outdoors. Balsam fir is a good quality evergreen that grows in most northern states. Balsam fir is a great product for outdoor decorating, especially in cooler and windy locations. As with all of our balsam and noble products, no trees are damaged or destroyed when we harvest. We can actually re-harvest on the same tree two years later.
