Welcome to Wreaths.com
Thank you for your interest in Northwoods fundraising programs. This year marks our 27th season of providing quality seasonal products to help your group meet its financial goals. In 2007, Northwoods provided its services to over 240 groups helping them to earn an estimated $500,000 in net profits. While this averages over $2000 per group, we have several organizations that net over $10,000 from their sales. We currently offer four fundraising programs - Christmas evergreens, Spring bedding plants, Coffee/Hot Cocoa, and Fall Pumpkin and Mums Sale. A secret to our customers’ success is leveraging the annual annuity of these seasonal events. There will always be Christmas, Spring, and Fall, and people enjoy coffee every day.
Northwoods’ identity has been formed in its unique history. Its founder and current owner, Andy Barrie, grew up selling wreaths to friends, family, and neighbors as a Cub and Boy Scout in Milwaukee. In high school and college, Andy earned extra money unloading trucks of wreaths and later managing the wreath distribution center for another wreath company. Upon graduating from college, Andy opened Northwoods Wreaths in 1982 selling to Chicago area youth groups. After several years of success, Northwoods grew to five manufacturing sites in northern Wisconsin and upper Michigan.
In 1993 Northwoods made two strategic decisions. First, we decided to incorporate indoor/outdoor evergreen products made of premium quality Noble Fir into our fundraising product mix. Our groups quickly found out that offering a choice of both indoor and outdoor products increased their gross sale per customer and overall net profit. Northwoods created a new company in Washington State to manufacture the Noble fir products. Second, Northwoods began to offer a Spring plant fundraiser. This sale leverages the same customer base that groups sell to for Christmas by offering quality annual and perennial bedding plants.
In working with us you will constantly notice our commitment to quality. We realize that the products you choose to sell support the identity and reputation of your group. For us, quality goes beyond state of the art refrigeration and product inspection. We include accuracy of what was ordered, timely fulfillment of additional orders, and prompt customer support
Fundraising with Northwoods is easy to start and manage.

Currently Featuring: Spring Plants
Dear Group Leader,

Northwoods Wreaths has been providing its Christmas Greens fundraiser to Midwest area groups for the last twenty six years. For the last 15 seasons Northwoods has been offering a Spring bedding plant sale to enhance your fund raising efforts. We are now opening up this program to all of our local groups. Northwoods offers the finest quality annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, and specialty items grown just for you in our Michigan greenhouses. In 2009 you can also special order other annuals, perennials, vegetables and boxwoods not on our price list if you call for availability.
This sale works similar to our Christmas program as we provide color brochures with order forms to assist the pre-ordering process. We offer two types of free color brochures; one for Bedding Plants and the other for Hanging Baskets and Planters. We recommend that you use both brochures to maximize revenues. You will need to print your group’s suggested retail pricing on each brochure or you can take the brochures to a printer and have them do this for you at a small charge. Your sale can begin in the February/March time frame and continue until the beginning of April. Northwoods needs your order by Tuesday April 1 so we can have your plants ready for a May delivery to your designated pick-up location. Upon placing your order we will schedule a delivery date and time.
As the case in 2008, in 2009 the European Sun and Shade mixed 12” patio containers will replace the Euro hanging baskets (the same size but at a lower cost). Also, we are offering a 4% pre-paid option for those groups that can pre-pay by 2/15/09.
If your group is interested in participating, please call us as soon as possible so we can enroll your group and send out the brochures. We need to know how many members of your group will be selling.
You’ll find that our two sales will compliment each other and help you find more customers to support your annual efforts.
Best Regards,
Andy Barrie
